YTB still sales FLASE DREAMS to CONSUMERS

Here's more YTB Travel News; It has been brought to my attention that YTB has once again made headlines this time in Louisville, Ky in an article written by Charla Young for Wave- TV in Louisville, Ky

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about an online travel company recruiting people to work from home. The company promises big money, but many people have complained that those promises were empty.

Theresa Simons was searching the Internet recently, looking for a way to make money when she happened upon a website that caught her eye.

"This is what I came up with," Theresa said. "It was a very great way for me to come up with money. It was a piece of cake. And I could do it sitting at home, at my own desk."

The company Theresa found is called Your Travel Biz International Inc. Its website boasts of lucrative income opportunities by becoming an online travel booking consultant. And the company says you can earn up to $100,000 in bonuses.

"I influenced some of my closest friends and some of my closest family members," Theresa said. "And they got scammed, too."

But Theresa and others claim the company left them with wallets as empty as the promises by requiring substantial sums of money upfront (which should always be a red flag).

"I knew I had to put a small amount of money in," Teresa explained. "I was expecting that - but not as much as they wiped me out of."

Theresa claims she lost at least $500, and has nothing to show for it.

Charlie Mattingly with the Better Business Bureau says his agency gave an "F" rating to Your Travel Biz International.

"Anytime you sign up with a business where you realize your success is going to depend largely on recruiting others to work under you, you ought to think very carefully about it. Because we see lots of those things that don't work out to be what people think they are."

Over the past three years, Louisville's BBB chapter has received 112 complaints about Your Travel Biz International, and has released the following statement about the company:

"The earnings claims are exaggerated, and the testimonials are invalid as evidence of the truth of the company's advertising."

Mattingly says he understand why people sometimes fall victim to misleading claims.

"A lot of people are looking for work now and they see this as an opportunity," Mattingly said. "But it unfortunately often turns out to be a hollow hope and a false opportunity."

We contacted Your Travel Biz International and spoke with President and Chief Operating Officer Andrew Cauthen, who had this to say about the BBB's statement:

"The information the BBB is reporting is inaccurate. We answer each and every complaint within a 24 hour period. We always refund money no questions asked."

We checked again with the Better Business Bureau and was told that Your Travel Biz International has made settlement offers to 114 customers, and that 88 people accepted the offers. We're told 41 of those offers involved some monetary refunds.

YTB is also saying there are currently no open cases with the BBB. When we asked about Theresa's case, we were told that YTB contacted her with an offer, but Theresa says the offer was unacceptable.

More YTB Travel International Directors exit stage "LEFT"

Hot off the ytbtravelnews press it appears that two more of yourtravelbiz.com top Directors have come to the EDUCATED conclusion that in light of all the YTB sandals that being involved with yourtravelbiz.com is no longer worth the HEADACHE and have issued a statement of resignation to yourtravelbiz.com.

It appears that Floyd J. Williams and Spencer W. Iverson, JD a pair of yourtravelbiz.com TOP money earners and YTB's Circle of Champion Members are now calling it quits with YTB international,yourtravelbiz.com, The Company or whatever YTB
is now calling themselves these day and are hoping that the effectiveness of YTB, Yourtravelbiz.com, YTB International or whatever they are calling themselves these day "Bill of Rights" will hold TRUE.

In a statement prepared by King & Spalding, Atlanta, GA office; attachments
Christopher S. Prince, Counsel to YTB Founders, J. Lloyd “Coach” Tomer, Scott Tomer, Kim Sorenson, John Clagg and Andy Cauthen Mr. Williams and Mr. Iverson are denouncing their Directorships with yourtravelbiz.com effective immediately as issued from their attorney the statement reads as the following:

To: J. Lloyd “Coach” Tomer, Scott Tomer, Kim Sorenson, John Clagg and Andy Cauthen
From: Floyd J. Williams and Spencer W. Iverson, JD
Re: Termination of Directorship
August 14th, 2009

Coach, Scott and Kim,

Over the past few weeks, we have had to make probably one of the most difficult decisions of our professional lives. Effective as of Friday, August 14th, 2009, we, Floyd J. Williams and Spencer W. Iverson tender the termination of our Directorship in YTB International.

It really would serve no constructive purpose to enumerate the myriad of reasons why we have been forced to come to this decision after much prayer, conversations with our families and consultation. Our time spent with you, the founders of YTB, the incredible relationships that we have developed and maintain with the home office staff and the professional bond we have created with our former fellow Directors will never be forgotten. We thank you for an incredible experience.

We have proudly built one of the strongest, award-winning organizations in the company’s history and helped to cultivate many outstanding leaders. We have served as proud ambassadors for YTB both domestically and abroad. It is not our intention, in anyway, to disparage or speak ill of YTB’s founders and staff during or following our departure. It is not our intention to cause economic harm to a company that has so enlightened and enriched our lives. We trust that the same respect is reciprocated as we move on to other opportunities.

Pursuant to the Preamble of the YTB Bill of Rights which concludes;

“...YourTravelBiz.com, shall keep the promise to its Independent Marketing Representative of uninterrupted residual commissions.”

we trust that this is honored. The Bill of Rights further provides:

4. So long as they are commission qualified pursuant to the YourTravelBiz.com Compensation Plan, present and future Independent Marketing Representatives of YourTravelBiz.com shall be deemed to have fully and unconditionally earned all residual commissions upon the monthly revenues paid by RTAs established by themselves and by Independent Marketing Representatives in their commissionable downline, subject only to future monthly payments being made by the RTAs commissionable to them.

5. No present or future Independent Marketing Representative of YourTravelBiz.com may be divested of the foregoing right to receive residual commissions except upon the voluntary termination of their Independent Marketing Representative status, or their involuntary termination as a Independent Marketing Representative for cause and pursuant to the procedures of YourTravelBiz.com in connection with the involuntary termination of Independent Marketing Representative status for cause.

Thus, we are only terminating our positions as Directors and will maintain our IMR status. We are proud of the professional and ethical manner in which we have built our respective organizations and are confident that we have not “divested” ourselves of our rights to continue to receive our residual commissions. Further, we will not
personally sponsor anyone that we did not personally recruit into YTB. We again reiterate that it is our intention to maintain our status as TSO’s, paying our $49.95 monthly fee(s) for each of our currently active and existing sites.

Further, pursuant to the Preamble of the First Amendment of the of Bill of Rights which states in part:

WHEREAS, YourTravelBiz.com, Inc. is desirous of extending the protection of the Bill of Rights to include PowerTeam and Dream Team commissions, 50% commission match, bonuses and overrides pursuant to the YourTravelBiz.com Independent Marketing Representative Compensation Plan as published and in effect as of August 1, 2007.

And further provides;

4. So as long as they are commission qualified pursuant to the YourTravelBiz.com Compensation Plan, present and future Reps of YourTravelBiz.com shall be deemed to have fully and unconditionally earned PowerTeam and Dream Team commissions, 50% commission match, bonuses and overrides on the enrollment of new referring travel agents (RTAS) by them and Reps in their PowerTeam and Dream Team commissionable PowerTeam and Dream Team downlines, subject only to future RTA initial license purchases being made by RTAs.

5. No present or future Rep of YourTravelBiz.com may be divested of the foregoing right to receive PowerTeam and Dream Team commissions, 50% commission match, bonuses and overrides except upon the voluntary termination of their Rep status, or their involuntary termination as an Independent Marketing Representative for cause and pursuant to the procedures of YourTravelBiz.com in connection with the involuntary termination of an Rep status for cause.

Thus, we also anticipate the honoring of this First Amendment and the protections to “PowerTeam and Dream Team commissions, 50% commission match, bonuses and overrides...” it affords us by YTB and that no involuntary manipulation of our respective downlines, including, but not limited to, the removal, adjustment, transfer or placement of REPs, Associates, TSOs and/or RTAs into other organizations in our
uplines, downlines or other organizations not in our hierarchy.

We leave YTB with no fiscal indebtedness, only a debt of gratitude for the opportunity to further develop as leaders. We hope that YTB does, in fact, reach its goal of creating 10,000 millionaires
and becomes a major force in the marketplace for internet travel sales and retail distribution.

Again, thank you for the lasting memories and the journey to success.

Sincerely,

Floyd J. Williams

YTB's Survival questioned after a net loss of $1.9 million

YTB International reported a net loss from operations for the first quarter of 2009 of $1.9 million. In its first-quarter report to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), YTB said that negative current economic conditions and other factors have led to a fall off in the number of active Travel Site Owners (TSOs) in YTB. Net revenues totaled $21.8 million in the first quarter of 2009 compared to $42.7 million in the first quarter of 2008.

YTB said the number of active TSOs has declined during the quarter ending March 31 by a net loss of 18,582 to 73,801 active TSOs from the 92,383 reported as of December 31, 2008. TSOs were formerly known as Referring Travel Agents (RTAs), most of whom work from their homes.

The Company is also defending against two cases challenging the legality of its network marketing program," YTB said in its report to the SEC. "Litigation claims can be expensive and time consuming to bring and defend against and could result in settlements or damages that could significantly affect financial results.

The Company’s loss from operations, declining active TSO count, working capital deficiency, uncertainties surrounding the Company’s pending litigation, and the general downturn in the economy raise substantial doubt about the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern,” the report continued.

YTB said it had taken action to ensure that the company will survive, including a consultant to provide recommendations to the Board on cost structure, compliance and other matters to improve overall profitability.

$1 MILLION Fine handed out to YTB

YTB Travel News: As reported by Elizabet Donald:WOOD RIVER -- Illinois has filed a lawsuit against the YourTravelBiz company and California has leveled a $1 million fine against it.

The company and its officers face litigation from Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, according to spokesman Natalie Bauer.

Jonathan Quinn, an attorney for YourTravelBiz, said the company does not have a comment at this time on the Illinois complaint. "We have not been formally served, and when we are we will review the complaint and be in a position to comment," he said.

According to the Illinois complaint filed against YTB on Thursday, the company charged its clients a $450 initial fee plus $50 a month to purchase a travel Web site. The suit alleges that the company misled their clients as to the commissions they received, that advertising showed there was no cost to join. Calling it a pyramid scheme, the complaint alleges that the real money came from referring others to join YTB instead of the travel sales themselves.

According to the suit, the average representative earned about $114 a year, while executives made millions. Madigan alleges that the company violated the Consumer Fraud Act and Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

This comes after California's lawsuit against the company was settled for a $1 million fine on Thursday.

Also, the company faces a federal class-action lawsuit from former customers.

The class-action suit, filed last year on behalf of more than 1,000 people who participated in the YTB system, seeks more than $100 million in damages.
